Mad Season plan to release a new album later this year

Temple Of The Dog was not the only supergroup that included prominent figures from the world of grunge. Mad Season was another case where the size of stars cohesionaron Layne Staley (Alice In Chains), Mark Lanegan and Barrett Martin of Screaming Trees, John Baker Saunders of The Walkabouts and Mike McCready of Pearl Jam. It has been precisely the latter that has announced its intention in an interview to edit unreleased tracks from the last stage of this fantastic band.

This next work began to emerge from the release of the only album released by Mad Season: "Above". "The point is that we try to record another album but it did not quite work." - Commented McCready told The Weekly Seed. "Layne was with Alice In Chains and died. That led me to change the band name to Mad Season Disinformation. Of the sessions at this late stage there are a total of twelve songs, and of these there are eight that are great. They need to be edited but they are only instrumental. We need to find singers who make it to do justice to the greatness achieved by Layne Staley. "

The new material from Mad Season would not be arriving, but not as much as some think. In fact McCready has had no qualms about dropping this special compact "could come later this year." With stuff like that is impossible not to feel some degree of euphoria. New issues of Mad Season. In 2012. Incredible.

To refresh your memory of what has been achieved in the mid-nineties by these heroes here are the direct Live At The Moore who performed in 1995. Paid special attention to the interpretation of 'I Do not Know Anything'. Orgasmic.

I've always pursued the idea of rock and roll ...

Larissa Kellerer met YA-HA to the interview:

What was your highlight of 2011?
Jana: Of course, that we have asked the panel finished and we went on tour, so we had the opportunity to perform the new songs live sometimes.
Flo: It was in Cannes also very interesting. Very special because we have just played in France. And with German music, that is something special.

What do you wish for 2012?
Flo: No. few weeks vacation.
Jill: Many concerts play, nothing else really. Concerts are the most important thing.
Flo: play festivals in the summer, that was last year that is a bit difficult. And just that we have some cool bookings.

What may not be missing Backstage with you?
Jana: Still water and vegetarian food in any case.
Flo: I absolutely need wifi.
Dirk: Otherwise, we are a rather unassuming strip.

What do you think of which depends on success?
Flo: Basically of course the music. You should get out out from the crowd and the people must have fixed it. But if the people do not like your songs, not much you can do about it.

ya-ha_pressefoto8_2011

What you let your inspiration?
Dirk: From beautiful everyday moments. In general, especially of the Isar in Munich.

What do you like about Munich?
Jana: Of course, the Isar and quarters such as the Glockenbach with his cafe's, etc. And you're very quick in nature, the mountains can ... We are all human nature.

Jana, you grew up in California, the daughter of a harem woman Rainer Langhans. How do you that life has influenced and inspired?
Jill: Just the whole way as I grew up, as we have lived together - it was all very open, artistic and relaxed. It was a special and spiritual atmosphere. But I just can not name ...

Would you sometimes wish you to live a life of 0815-in a terraced house in Green Forest?
Jana: 0815-A may not be life, but more contact with my father would have been great. He lives in America and that's why I rarely saw him. Sometimes it would have been such a beautiful mother-father-child family to have.

What can you or will you give young musicians on the road?
Flo: That which will make, on which the block have. Of course, as well as drum's going to get there and so on but you should always stay true to yourself. And that the coal does not spend for professional studio recording. Dear record itself ... In the early stages you have more fun at home - because you should invest the money in equipment. I think it brings more in the long run.

How did you come up with the idea YA-HA set up?
Flo: Jana and I have already worked a lot anyway, and eventually we wanted to do more than just individual songs. And then it was clear that we wanted to do something together.

You have to make your other careers because of worries that with HA-YA first is the end or does it continue?
Flo: Yes, of course. We get so out not just an album ... No, no! We continue on!

What are your goals pursued as a band?
Flo: Now comes the new album just out, and then look like once it arrives so with the people. In any case, we want to play live a lot and also produce a follow up album.

There was a dramatic experience in the recordings?
Dirk: Well, so much a great experience .. rather small number of Big Bangs!

How was it for you, the final and finished album in hand to hold?
Jill: Well, yes you can hear it every now and again through, to see whether or where to fit the mixture could still change things ...
Flo: That's right, you hear in the production of course every now and then clean. But the album is wrapped to see a great feeling. My is sealed, for example, still at home ...

What was your first album and what music has inspired and encouraged you?
Dirk: I have always pursued the idea of rock and roll ...
Jill: I was with bands like tonsteinescherben it ... and so at 13 I have a lot and often the dead belonged pants.
Flo: For me it was tonsteinescherben bands like, but my first band played death metal, with me on bass. Of course there was also some death metal bands that I listened and thought to myself "I will be playing bass."

Which artists would you like to play a concert?
Flo: It's hard to say. There are many bands that I like to see live and with whom I would also like to play maybe .. I find it just a specific one is not.

What are you looking forward to the next time?
Flo: Of course on the tour and the concerts we will play!
Jill: Everything is open. I'm looking forward to that, what's coming, but what we do not know exactly!

Jirka stake in the Munich art space

From 19/04/2012 to 17/05/2012, there are art space, the new Munich exhibition of "Black - White - symmetry" to see artists Jirka pile. On mucbook there are already advance some pictures and a few words about the upcoming exhibition to be seen.

"Jirka pile works are created in close engagement with various forms of contemporary culture and take in equal terms of subcultural phenomena, popular culture and power, commerce, (German-German) history, as in art, art business and art discourse. According to present its multifaceted artistic production that emphasizes analog of linocuts and cut-outs enough about computer-based image generations to conceptual and performative forms and curatorial. Through his appropriierenden, often playful, experimental approach, it leads to current aspects of mediumship, communication and critical discourse analysis. His work reflects not only very accurate about "art as art", but relates directly to current social trends and subjects them to constant review.

In kunstraum muenchen Jirka post focused on a central aspect of his work: the exploration of language in relation to visual and spatial orders. Thus, text and writing not only media that refer to something else that is in its symbolism that is "transparent" and permeable, but characters that have their own visual density and opacity, which allow to enter the formal to the level of significance or the even overlap. Jirka pile stresses inherent value of this text by single words, phrases or short passages of text, often taken from everyday contexts, orders, crossed with three-dimensional geometric objects or spatial symmetry-linear structures.

Often arise so several readings: from top to bottom, left to right, on the diagonal, and vice versa. Anagrams or palindromes as they take on multiple meanings that are at variable constellations, whose meaning is constantly changing. Through the arrangement of simple basic elements to create complex textures and patterns Pattern: So in the art room mural shown in the interconnected cable ties form the word "ties". While writing on a writing received by the Scriptures, the word is ultimately only a section of the infinitely extensible grid structure of the cable ties (English for cable ties) and can be changed in its dimensions.

Jirka pile up in his work, her thematic links that allow such a role-play decisions, so that a viewer has the option of free readings dictated by their own interpretations to arrive. Construction of meaning alternates with its destruction. Aware of their self-made objects retain their character in order to maintain accountability, equal to one-make-yourself skills. This forced a deconstructive reading Jirka pole that stands on the usefulness of visualization as a contingent experience.

Jirka post (b. 1976) studied media arts at the HGB Leipzig and was co-organizer of the project space Hoppyshop in Munich. Most recently, he presented the Latvian Centre for Contemporary Art in Riga.

The exhibition is an edition with the title "untitled (soft pop up)" (cloth, card slip case, edition of 10, each 280 €). Three-dimensional map from the drop falls on opening each other in a thin fabric drape.

In addition, an artist's book with the title "Awareheft". The studied at the studio on the Xerox machine produced conglomeration of essays, pictures and charts scheindiskursiven aware of the Internet in analog, not time-based medium of artists' books. At sixteen pages in grooved binding the focus is on how content is processed again in 2012. "

DeLuna and Outside Lands: the festivals of our dreams

We see the poster of festivals like Coachella or Glastonbury and hallucinate with names. Bon Iver, The Black Keys, Bruce Springsteen ... That play only the best from different musical genres. Even so rarely are able to see something as seen in this year's DeLuna, festival to be held in Pensacola (Florida) from 21 to 23 September and should be considered a paradise for international alternative rock in the form of festival Why say this? Very simple: because in the same bill you can see names of such importance in this sector as Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam (!) Or Band Of Horses.

It really is amazing what has been achieved by the organization of this festival. DeLuna will perform well in these three groups as The Gaslight Anthem (a fetish group Alcon Raül our editor), The Wallflowers, Guided By The Voices, Superchunk, Band of Skulls or Ben Folds Five. Special mention Florence + The Machine and City & Colour, two big names that are more rock located outside the circle but surely that will please the audience of this great festival of the West Coast.

The weekend tickets are being put up for sale at a price of about 182.95 U.S. dollars (139 euros). We can not go but if you have the opportunity not hesitate: Pensacola is in the center of the media storm in the month of September. Are you going to lose?

Note: We have just seen that there is another festival that is arguably even better than DeLuna. We talked about the Outside Lands in San Francisco will feature performances by Metallica, Neil Young, Foo Fighters (these are targeted at all), Jack White, Sigur Ros, Franz Ferdinand, Explosions In The Sky, Skrillex and many, many more artists.Go crazy!

Owen Pallett has worked on 'I'll Be Gone' the new album by Linkin Park

Shocking news: Owen Pallett, a Canadian artist that is recognized both for his solo work (Final Fantasy) as for his collaborations with members of Arcade Fire and Mountain Goats, once again the star of the day. But this time is different from previous ones: today, April 13, 2012, Owen Pallett has been mentioned on the Web after Pitchfork confirmed its collaboration with Chester Bennington, Mike Shinoda & Co. in 'I'll Be Gone', one of topics that appear in the tracklist of the new album from Linkin Park.

I remember the last time we talked about the next album of Linkin Park was created a significant buzz / controversy after those statements that Chester Bennington confirmed that the LP would "divide people." A total of 158 comments in one post we made it clear that the people have some doubt (and even fear) to meet again with something like "A Thousand Suns" album that we just went out to defend at the time.

We greatly comforted to know that Linkin Park were left surrounded by the genius who created works of size 'Lewis Takes Action' or 'Keep The Dog Quiet'. We know that everyone will see it differently (and in advance and assume that 'I'll Be Gone' will be severely attacked by the fans who stayed in the "Meteora") but it's good to know that Chester, Shinoda, Rob, Brad, Dave and Joe are unmarked on any new opportunity that they face.

Incidentally, it is rumored that the album of Linkin Park could go somewhere in June. Even so nothing is confirmed, a finding that suggests that could soon announce a more than possible delay.

Damien Jurado - Maraqopa (2012)

In our country there is a mutual affection between Damien Jurado and the Spanish public. He wants us and we want it. Call it a WIN WIN relationship, and knowing that the singer of Seattle does not lower revs at the time of making his records. It is entirely laudable see every couple of years enjoyed a record that fully realized the expectations of what we expected of Mr. Jury. With "Caught By The Trees", for example, he did. And with "Saint Bartlett" also. I think that we could not was that "Maraqopa," the second album produced by Jury with Richard Swift, might become the beauty that is all folk bowed to wood and stone, howling, crying and stands as the best that Jurado has made in recent years.

The cohesion between cuts is tremendous and, above all, stylistic versatility Damien exhibits in the three / four minutes that last virtually all items of LP. Stunning is the stretch between 'Reel To Reel' and 'Museum Of Flight', where we find everything from echoes almost ecclesiastical ('Everyone A Star') to a gospel flavor delicacy ('Working Titles') playing a totally different level to that seen in pieces by artists in the industry.

Perhaps some cross off this album to be somewhat dense. And I understand. The production, at least initially (the first jury listeners are always somewhat hard), it is somewhat coarse. But it is a matter of time, like a hidden world of Narnia in a wardrobe, acabéis cajoled by the rustic place that describe the melodies of one of the most underrated songwriters of the international sector. "Maraqopa" a little gem worthy of discovery.

Nick Oliveri leaves a Kyuss Lives! ruined

The walls of that fortress called "Kyuss Lives!" Have begun to crack. The first violent movement came from the hand of Josh Homme and Scott Reeder, who, with every right, last week sued his former teammates John Garcia and Brant Bjork for making an improper use of the mark "Kyuss". This action was made public through a statement that has caused a very great controversy in recent days. Seeing the picture that emerges in the bowels of the rock band Stone referent, Nick Oliveri, former bassist, has confirmed to Antiquiet leaving the project in order to focus their energies on Mondo Generator, forming his own rock / alternative metal.

Oliveri explained in the interview that the main reason for this exile has been given by the existing reality after a tour that presumed to be a different thing from what it was. "I thought it would be an opportunity for each of us tocasemos our solo material honestly. Not so. "This pretext has served as a perfect way to get away from Nick core of a project that has begun to shatter.

We will remain very looking forward to seeing what happens to the demand for Josh / John Scott / Brant. I personally find it quite logical that this happened but to be seen if the singer and drummer will take strong legal onslaught that is finalizing the frontman of Queens Of The Stone Age.

Compilations have the advantage of being cheap for the listener vorleisten, respectively buyer a valuable task. You select. Mostly for professional men and women professionals are commissioned.
