50 years after her death - Marilyn Monroe film retrospective at the Museum

Marilyn Monroe retrospective at the 50th Munich FilmmuseumZum Death of sex symbol Marilyn Monroe will take place in Munich Film Museum from 10.07. held a major retrospective to 29.7.2012 with 18 films of the Hollywood icon. The films will be shown in the original English version, some with German subtitles. Marilyn Monroe was an exceptional actress who too often been reduced to mere clichés. She was born on 01/06/1926 as Norma Jean Baker. On 05/08/1962 she was only 36 years in Los Angeles, still unexplained circumstances killed.
The two documentaries "Marilyn Monroe - In Their Own Words" (2007, 30 min) and "I want to be loved" (2011, 90 min) by Eckhart Schmidt form on Sunday, 08.07. clock at 18:30 to start a personal retrospective, as director Eckhart Schmidt is a guest on this evening!
The film series provides a unique opportunity to Monroe's career in small roles in John Huston's thriller "The Asphalt Jungle" (1950) and Joseph L. Mankiewicz wicked satire "All About Eve" (1950) to watch a film and they also lesser-known films like to see "Do not Bother To Knock" (1952) by Roy Ward Baker.
Of course there are also their greatest hits do not like "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" (1953) by Howard Hawks, or "The Seven Year Itch" (1955) Billy Wilder - who, like many of her films were shot in extabreiten CinemaScope format.
